Soulpole Magazine - Back From the Ashes
We’re back!!! I never thought I’d see this day, to be honest. Last month Yahoo who had some terrible server problems and after experiencing horrible customer service and blatant lies, I decided that I was going to switch servers. The lovely people at our new host (SiteGround.com) took the time to transfer the entire blog and reconstruct it on their servers. The problem bit problem I encountered in doing this was a corrupt .htaccess file which I had the people at the WP-Pro mailing list help me figure out how to fix. Anyways, the important thing is we’re back and we’ll definitely soon be better than before!
Some big changes. First the magazine is changing it’s name to Soulpress.net. Soulpole started out as a joke but I’m changing the title for a number of reasons. First, people keep calling it Southpole Magazine. I don’t see how you mistake “South” for “Soul” but I don’t like it because I want this zine to be identified as a unique brand, I’m not trying to ride on anyone’s coattails. Second, the phrase Soulpole implies certain sexual innuendo that causes some confusion. When dealing with family groups and an audiences of all ages, I can’t have that.
There will be alot more changes in the next few weeks, I’ll finish the advertiser sections, the graphics of the overall site will change up and the editorial focus of the magazine will broaden. But it will all be for the better. Thanks for staying with us.
Sincerely,
Jon D Gos
