The Colorful World of Jeff Soto
Jeff Soto’s art is vividly colorful and intriguing. He describes his work as being dark, fantastic and his feelings on the war in Iraq. Using a very distinct color palette and borrowing elements from science fiction, graffiti, and pop culture, Soto manages to illustrate worlds of incredible appeal on canvases up to twelve feet long!
His solo exhibition SUPERNOVA opens Saturday, February 18th from 6pm-9pm at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery
in New York.
From Jeff’s Bio: Since a young age Jeff Soto has been captivated by the visual arts. He credits early exposure to the work of artists Mercer Mayer and Patrick Woodroffe as stimuli for his creativity. When he was 15 he began to dabble in the art of graffiti, which he credits as a major influence in his art. Jeff’s work has been shown in galleries across the US and internationally. He graduated with Distinction from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. He is a recovering Cactus-aholic and lives in Riverside, California.
