SFO Must Have Been Written in PHP…

…because it’s horribly inefficient between the late night shift and the first few flights in the morning. I should know, I got there around 1am for a 7am flight. Rather than try to find my way to the BART at 4, I just came straight here after the pillow fight. So two hours before the flight (all the passengers must have been waiting to check-in at that point) the US Airways staff were just getting here. Their computers weren’t even on for self-check in! So instead of the first flight being the breeze it should have been, it was still the same old mess it always is. Really, U.S. Airways, your self check-in computers require a staff of half-awake zombies to monitor them behind the scenes?
Beyond that, what really pissed me off enough to write this, is that San Francisco International seems to turn of their wireless routers at night…at least they did last night. The reasoning for this is beyond me, because surely there are way more important people than me who book early morning flights so that they can have some quiet time with Google Reader while they wait to jump through the monkey hoops. I don’t even get it from a financial perspective because I was using my paid T-Mobile wireless account! So yeah, turn off your SFO Free Public WiFi if you want to and it saves you a few cents but give me what I pay for!
sigh….that is all. It’s been fun, on my way back to the ATL in a few hours.
