Quick Photoshop Tip
{ March 5th, 2008 }
I’m only posting this because I wasn’t aware of this myself. If you’ve downloaded any of my tutorials (like this one) you’ll notice that I design fonts and logos in a way that keeps all text editable from start to finish. This way if I need to modify the design (or *ahem* reuse it for another client) I can just pop open a PSD and edit. Well that said, I usually go through each individual layer of text to modify each. I just discovered that I can save myself some time by holding “Apple/Command” and selecting multiple layers, I can make batch changes. For instance: select two or three layers of text so that all are highlighted, then change the font type. All the layers wil be effected.
Since sometimes I’ll have four of the same font layered with different effects and layer settings applied to each, this trick saves me significant amount of time.
