About the Theme
I’m a big fan of Derek’s original so I just applied some styling to give everyone ideas as to how to make an “Unstandard” look a little bit different from the rest of the blogs using this popular theme. I’m in no way trying to take credit for the original, but I spent a heck of a lot of time tweaking it to my liking. My version makes heavier use of transparencies and woodgrain finishes.
The woodgrain texture I used can be downloaded from http://www.sxc.hu/photo/947335. The color scheme can be downloaded from http://www.colorschemer.com/. The photo used in the screenshot comes from http://flickr.com/photos/tookie/178243628/. The original “Unstandard” can be found at http://5thirtyone.com/archives/886. I also used one background made at http://bgmaker.ventdaval.com/. I used a few icons from http://famfamfam.com/. Everything else was made in photoshop and the source psds are included so you can modify it all.

Nice job – a neat twist on a really nice theme. The only thing that makes Unstandard hard work is having to resize multiple images with each post – but have found the Viva Plugin from http://www.vivathumbs.com and that solves all that too! Thanks for sharing.
I like your variation. I currently use the Unstandard theme for my blog and will be remixing it soon.
Nice theme. I am familiar with the original unstandard theme so this one looks pretty good. nice work. ANd thanks for giving credit where credit is due
cool wp-theme & nice tweaking and graphics.
Mt. Everests last blog post..Freedom of expose to Nepali models and the need of 18+ rated website
Very nice theme. I’m working wiht it now on a project. Coding is very minimal and clean and the look is a good build on the original. One thing, how is this widget ready? There’s no code in the sidebar to utilize widgets.
UPDATE: Created a widgetised version for a project I’m working on. Will be posting a generic version soonish.
